The Texaschainsaw Massacre The Game Wiki

Hands is a distant cousin of The Slaughter Family. Hands was introduced as a purchasable DLC character on June 11, 2024.

He was first teased on May 16, 2024.[2]A major reveal occurred on June 6, 2024, through the Community Hub article "Meet Hands," written by Cidnya Silva, which provided an in-depth look at his backstory and abilities.[3]

Hands specializes in securing areas using his homemade electro traps, which can be used to booby-trap barricades, crawlspaces, and other metal objects. His intimate knowledge of machinery allows him to utilize the Ripstall ability, enabling him to physically remove valves and fuses and quickly start generators or batteries. In defensive situations, Hands can adopt a defensive stance, and any adversary foolish enough to approach him risks being knocked down by a well-timed barge.

Lore[]

"A distant cousin to the Slaughter Family, "Hands" pushes 7 feet tall and weighs nearly 350 pounds. He's a drag racing legend in Texas, but his darker side is much more violent and gruesome. During one grisly altercation at a sleazy, run-down biker hangout, he beat a man to death, ripped his face off, and proceeded to wear it as some kind of sick joke. Uncle “Hands” then gave the human "mask" to Leatherface, inadvertently creating a lifelong obsession for the kid. He's massive, extremely powerful, and can kill you with his bare hands in a matter of minutes."

Hands is a multifaceted character whose backstory as both a skilled drag racer and a member of the Slaughter Family provides a compelling contrast between his public persona and his darker tendencies. Known for his skill behind the wheel, Hands' reputation as a biker and racer grants him a sense of notoriety, but it's his violent, unpredictable nature that truly defines him within the family.

His pivotal role in Leatherface's transformation into the grotesque figure he becomes is a chilling one. Hands' act of ripping off a man's face and giving it to his young nephew, Leatherface, sets the stage for the latter's lifelong obsession with masks. This event not only establishes Hands as a catalyst for Leatherface’s descent into madness but also ties him directly to the family’s twisted legacy of violence.

Despite the unsettling nature of his actions, Hands’ presence during the events of the game is surprising and unexplained. His uninvited arrival at a critical moment, participating in the carnage without any clear motivation, adds a layer of mystery and unpredictability to his character. His sudden involvement in the game’s events without any clear allegiance or stated purpose deepens the sense of chaos and danger surrounding the Slaughter Family.

Ultimately, Hands’ fate after the events of the game remains unknown, leaving his future—and his potential for further destruction—open to interpretation. His violent tendencies and unpredictable nature suggest that he may continue to cause havoc, but his ultimate end, like many aspects of the Slaughter Family's dark legacy, remains shrouded in mystery.

Abilities[]

For additional information on Levels and modifications, please refer to Ripstall's individual Wiki page here.
Ripstall Lock down exit interactions by ripping fuses out of the fusebox, valve handles from the tank and restarting the Generator and Car Battery quickly.
Electric Trap Hands can hook up 3 Electric Traps to barricades, chain link gates, closed crawl spaces, lamps, the car battery, the fuse box, the generator, and the pressure tank. Victims need a bone scrap or Bomb Squad to disable a trap. An Electric Trap electrocutes a Family member or Victim who tries to interact with the object without disabling the trap first. Electrocution damages a Victim and knocks them to the ground, notifies Hands, and disables the trap. Hands can turn disabled traps back on.
Barge Hands can also use a Defensive Barge. Press the Defensive Barge button to take a defensive stance, and release the button to knock down all Victims near Hands in any direction. Affected Victims take 16 damage, and Hands collects a small amount of blood.

Due to Defensive Barge's timing, it's impossible to knock down Victims running directly away from Hands.

It's more effective against Victims climbing ladders, emerging from gaps, grappling other Family members, interacting with objects, or otherwise moving towards Hands or not moving. Victims stand up before Hands can attack again, so it's helpful for other Family members to be near for follow-up attacks. This is especially useful in order to deny grappling wins for victims, by cancelling out the grapple entirely, denying all victim perks that are related to winning a close encounter like Choose Fight.
